Statement About HUAWEI AppGallery and Privacy

HUAWEI AppGallery is a platform operated by Huawei Software Technologies Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huawei", "we", "us", or "our") that provides you with the ability to download, install, and manage apps. Huawei takes your personal information and privacy seriously, and is committed to taking appropriate security measures to protect your personal information in accordance with relevant laws and established industry security standards.
•We collect your personal information in order to provide you with app purchase, download, installation, and management services.
•In order to send you physical prizes, gift packs, or coupons that you obtain from taking part in events, we need to share your contact information with the event provider and the third-party logistics company.
•We will use your HUAWEI ID information, as well as your search, download, and other operation information in HUAWEI AppGallery to help improve AppGallery and provide you with personalized recommendations.
1. How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information
Browsing, searching, downloading, installing, and uninstalling apps
In order to ensure your normal use of HUAWEI AppGallery's services and features, we will collect information about how you use AppGallery, your device identifier, operating system settings, hardware information, network information, carrier information, list of installed apps and basic app information.
When you log in to your HUAWEI ID, you will be able to purchase apps, take part in events or forum discussions, post comments, share apps, pre-order the latest games, create wishlists, and so on. Your purchase information will be used for copyright protection purposes. All of your other in-app records will only be stored for your future reference and management. The above information will be linked with your HUAWEI ID so that it can be synchronized on all your devices.
Event and prize collection
We have prepared a wide variety of physical prizes, gift packs, or coupons that you can obtain by taking part in various events. To allow you to view your purchase records and balance in AppGallery, we need to retain the information about your virtual assets, including your gift pack redemption codes, coupons, and HUAWEI Points. We also need to collect and share your contact information with the event provider and the third-party logistics company in order to send you physical prizes.
Comments and forum discussions
You can rate and comment on apps you downloaded, and read and take part in forum discussions you are interested in. Your comments and forum participation records will be stored under your HUAWEI ID, and displayed with your HUAWEI ID nickname and profile picture.
Content sharing
When you share content from HUAWEI AppGallery to WeChat, Weibo, or any other social media apps, these apps may collect your personal information. Please read the privacy policy of applicable apps before sharing.
Pre-order new games and app wishlist
We provide you with the ability to pre-order new games and create app wishlists so that you can try the latest games and apps when they are available. To provide you with this feature, we need to collect your pre-order records and wishlist information.
Push notifications
Notifications relating to events, winnings, and comments will be sent to and displayed in your notification panel when necessary. To disable the feature, open AppGallery, go to Me > Settings, and disable Notifications.
App update notifications will also be displayed in the notification panel. To disable the feature, open AppGallery, go to Me > Settings, and disable Update notifications.
Game or in-app shortcuts
AppGallery provides in-app shortcuts that allow you to enable or disable some of your device's features without having to exit your game or app. For example, you can easily enable Do not disturb or Mistouch prevention, or start screen recording or game acceleration all within your game or app. We will collect information about your use of this service to help us to continuously optimize and improve it.
Problems and suggestions
You can submit any AppGallery-related problems or suggestions in the Problems and suggestions section in AppGallery and choose whether to share your app logs which will make it easier for us to pinpoint the problem. In order for us to contact you, you need to fill in your contact information.
Preventing fraud and other malicious activities
For the best interests of you, Huawei, and other Huawei users, we will conduct risk control to prevent fraud and other illegal activities based on the above information collected.
We are only able to provide a complete range of the above services if you agree to the collection of the above information.
2. Personalized Recommendations
We will analyze your AppGallery usage information, device identifier, IP address, and HUAWEI ID information to help you find more interesting content. For example, we will recommend content that you might be interested in based on your AppGallery search, browse, download, update, and comment history. In order to recommend you more diverse content, we will also collect information relating to how you open, install, and uninstall apps on your device.
3. Child Protection
This app is for adult use only. If you are a minor, your parent or legal guardian must agree to your use of this app, and agree to the applicable terms and conditions. Parents and legal guardians should also take appropriate precautions to protect minors, including monitoring their use of this app.
4. Sharing with a Third Party
We are required to provide some non-personal information about your use of HUAWEI AppGallery to our partners (such as app developers and/or content providers) in order to help them evaluate their service performance, improve their apps and services, as well as for copyright tax and transaction settlement purposes.
5. Managing Your Data
You can access, modify, or delete your personal information, or withdraw your consent to the use of this information, by opening HUAWEI AppGallery and going to Me.

6. Data Storage Location and Retention Period
Your purchase information will be stored on servers located in the country where your HUAWEI ID is registered, so that you can still use your apps or in-app services you have purchased even if you change your service location to a different country or region. Your other information will be sent to and stored on servers in the People's Republic of China.
We will retain your personal information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Statement, and delete or anonymize your personal information beyond the time set out below, except as otherwise required by applicable laws and regulations.
Your following information will be retained for two (2) years: device identifier, operating system settings, hardware information, basic app information, list of installed apps, AppGallery usage information, gift pack redemption codes, coupons, contact information, comment and forum participation information, problems and suggestions, pre-order records, and wishlists.
Your IP address, network connection mode and type, carrier information, and some of your AppGallery usage information will only be retained for seven (7) days.
Your purchase information will be retained for seven (7) years and then deleted with your consent.
In the event that we discontinue our products or services, we will notify you in the form of a push notification, announcement, or other means, and delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period of time.
